For many of us at MCA, the matter eventually boiled down to one essential question, one that we might share in common. At MCA, we strive every day to provide a rigorous and loving learning environment that recognizes the enormous and unlimited potential that each child possesses. We believe that God has planted the seeds of His divine nature in the hearts and minds of each individual.

Therefore, the role of the parent and teacher is to get involved in organic farming. Organic farmers tend to a small plot of land, hand- plow it and till it. They walk frequently over the soil, nurturing it and weeding it. Farmers engaged inthis approach tend to each tender plant with care, coaxing the greatest yield from each one. And they know and pray thatGod will produce a good harvest in its due season. This type of organic farming simply can't be done from the comfortable seat of a tractor. Teachers in classical schools must get dirt under their fingernails. Nurturing the seeds of greatness and leadership inchildren must be accomplished hands-on. The classical, Christian school is carefully designed for such a job as this.
